        The Acadian Gathering

Moncton (February 26, 2005) Stephanie led worship at The Acadian Gathering in Moncton this past weekend.  For many years now, the church in Canada has been undertaking a remarkable journey of healing and reconciliation that we might see our nation become a resting place for the glory of the Lord.  This historic gathering was hosted by Watchmen for the Nations.

"Tonight we begin a very important gathering in Moncton, NB.   The Lord has been speaking clearly to us that now it is time for another important step in our journey: to address the historic injustice suffered by the Acadians in the mid 18th century.  The Acadians suffered a double abandonment in Canada.  After being abandoned by France,  they were expelled from their homelands by the English. As well, some Acadians also feel disowned as French Canadians by the Francophones of Quebec.  We believe now is the time the Lord wants to bring healing and restoration to the Acadians...as we take another step towards preparing the body of Christ in Canada for the One Heart gathering this summer."

Here is some of the feedback that came after the event:

"I was at the Acadian Gathering and I truly enjoyed your ministry in music.  The Awesome Presence of God was an experience that I will cherish for the rest of my days here on Earth. Thank you so much for blessing us with your awesome musical talents and praise." (Summerside, PEI)

"Blessings on your work - I was greatly blessed by your music when I was in Moncton for the Acadian Gathering."

"Just a few lines to let you know how much we appreciated your ministry at the Acadian gathering... God bless you and your family at home..." (Moncton, NB)

"I was overwhelmed with joy to see the fiddle used in Worship...  I have been searching for Celtic/Maritime style of Worship since the Revival in Belfast CD came out... I desire to see more Celtic/Maritime style music in the church."

"Listening to your CD has really helped me get in touch and feel and understand my family ancestral history."

"I've played people your CD in both England and France, and had excellent feedback.  Can people buy it on line or over here in UK?  I'm excited to hear about your nominations..." (England)
