author Sheila Davidson and recording artist Stephanie Mainville were joined by
over 100 people for a joint release party at St. James the
Less
Church
on Thursday, November 10, 2005. Stephanie
Mainville with the help of a support band and dancers shared songs from her
debut release Family.
Sheila did
a short reading and talked about how the book came to be.

It was a great night of Maritime
music and story celebrating the creative debuts from these two
New Brunswick
artists. Many people got a start on
their Christmas shopping for the year by stocking up on books and CDs.
The Maritime Song was once again the main highlight of
Stephanie’s set, thanks to the dance troupe who came in during the fiddle jig.
If you’ve never seen this performed live, you should make a point of
getting out to see it if you can. The
next opportunity for people to “experience” The
Maritime Song will be on November 29th when Stephanie opens the NewSongFM
5th Anniversary party
at Kings
Valley
Wesleyan
Church.
