Two Covenant Award Nominations

TORONTO (September 20, 2005) – Stephanie Mainville has just received two nominations for the 27th Annual Covenant Awards for instrumental songs from her debut release Family.  Both River Reel & Ern’s Waltz have been nominated for the Instrumental Song of the Year award.  

The Covenant Awards are the national Christian music industry awards handed out each year by the Canadian Gospel Music Association.

Other nominees this year include: Gatez Ave from Red Deer, Alberta who lead the list with eight nominations, Thousand Foot Krutch, Matthew Thiessen (as a song writer and as a member of Relient K), Carolyn Arends and Carried Away with five nominations each. Brian Doerksen, Maralee Dawn, Greg Sczebel, Hawk Nelson> and Shezza received four nods a piece. The 27th Annual Covenant Awards will be held October 22nd in Toronto at the McVety Centre located on the campus of Canada Christian College.
