Stephanie Mainville Receives Covenant Award

Toronto (October 22, 2005) - Stephanie Mainville presented four Covenant Awards and took home one of her own for "Instrumental Song of the Year" at the Canadian Gospel Music Association's 27th annual Covenant Awards ceremony.  Stephanie received two nominations for the 2005 Covenant Awards, one for each of the instrumental songs from Family.

The gala awards show was held at Canada Christian College's McVety Centre.  Brian Doerksen picked up 4 awards and Thousand Foot Krutch received 3.  Several other artists picked up two awards including Carried Away, Gaetz Ave, Manafest, Outside the Lines and Tabitha Lemaire (Tabitha helped lead worship with Stephanie at the Acadian Gathering in Moncton earlier this year).  The CGMA worship event on Friday night was also a real highlight, with Craig Douglas and the Meeting House Band leading worship. Guest vocalists included Marlene O'Neill, Jon Bauer, Sean Dayton, Jody Cross and Aileen Lombardo. Stephanie sang in the choir along with about 20 other artists.  This was a great way to set the tone for the weekend.  The late night Launch event also went well --- and well into the night!
