Stephanie Mainville's debut CD
Family
has received a national nomination as
Folk Album of the Year for the
2007 Shai Awards. The Shai
Awards are Canada’s “People’s Choice” awards for Gospel Music.
The job of determining the nominees was
commissioned to gospel music fans throughout Canada.
This
is the 8th award nomination for
Family.
The
winners will be determined by public voting via the Shai Awards website:

continues until January 20, 2007. The awards will be handed out at a
gala awards show at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton, Alberta on

Stephanie will be attending the awards and has been invited to perform
one of her songs during the show.
Since the release
of Family, Stephanie has
been a featured showcase performer at the Junos, the Canadian Country
Music Awards, the East Coast Music Awards, and Music NB Week. All 14
songs from the recording have received regular airplay on Christian
radio stations across Canada and in some US cities. Stephanie
has earned recognition with two Covenant Awards from the
Gospel Music Association Canada and a Mercy Award from the New Brunswick
Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
Family
has also received a total of five other nominations including: 2006
ECMA “Gospel Recording of the Year”, and the 2005 Shai Awards
“Inspirational Album of the Year”. (Click
