SAINT
JOHN (JANUARY 4, 2008) - Stephanie Mainville is kicking off the New
Year in a big way. First, by recording her second album at Canterbury
Studios in Toronto, and then performing in her third official ECMA
Showcase at the 2008 East Coast Music Awards in
Fredericton.
Stephanie
will be teaming up with CBC
Galaxie ECMA Rising Star Showcase Performer Kevin Fox to
bring 10 songs to life over the next few weeks.
Kevin is working with Stephanie as a co-writer, arranger, performer
and producer of her second full-length album.

Singer/songwriter
and multi-instrumentalist Kevin
Fox is well known in the Canadian music scene as an
exceptional cellist and vocalist. He has worked as a musical
director at the 2006 Juno Awards in Halifax and for the band
Shaye. Kevin has recorded and/or performed with Celine
Dion, Tom Cochrane, Feist, Alanis Morisette, Chantal Kreviazuk,
Gordie Sampson, Melanie Doane, Jully Black and many
others.

Together,
they are planning to craft a reflective acoustic pop album.
Stephanie’s new songs will take her music beyond the borders of
Contemporary Christian music to a much wider audience. Lyrically, this
album will appeal to a broad audience and the music they create
together is destined to firmly establish Stephanie as an export-ready
New Brunswick artist.
The
album will be recorded at Canterbury
Studios in Toronto. The studios lengthy list of credits include U2,
PINK FLOYD, MICK
JAGGER,
KEITH RICHARDS, PRINCE, DAVID BOWIE, VAN
MORRISON, JOHNNY CASH, MARIAH CAREY, ALICIA KEYS, ALANIS MORISETTE,
LENNY KRAVITZ,
THE WALLFLOWERS, and SHERYL CROW.

The
second check mark on Stephanie’s 2008 “To Do List" is
to perform at the ECMAs
in Fredericton. The East Coast Music Association has invited
Stephanie to perform on the prestigious “Discovery Stage”
at Sweetwaters
Night Club on King Street in Fredericton at 10:30am on Sunday,
February 10th. Stephanie will also be a featured
performer in the 2008
ECMA Soundwaves School Program in the Fredericton area during
the lead up to the ECMAs from January 28th to
February 1st.
