SAINT
JOHN
(January 22, 2009) –
Stephanie Mainville's
newest single “Wait” has been selected as the
regional winner in the 2009 Canadian Radio Star National Songwriting
competition. Recorded 'live-off-the-floor' in Toronto's
legendary Canterbury Studios, the song features renowned
multi-instrumentalist Kevin Fox on cello and background vocals.
The song is still in
production, but an advance version of the 'work-in-progress' was mixed by
Doug Romanow of Fire Escape Recording in Toronto and entered into the
contest.
The song made its radio
debut on Monday, January 12 on Big John's "Stack in the Morning" show.
"The competition this year was fierce...but
this song kept coming up to the top of our list. It's a great song from a
great songwriter!"
