The Canadian Country Music Association has announced that Stephanie Mainville, a Darlings Island resident, has been selected as a featured performer during the 2006 Country Music Week in Saint John.

The CCMW gospel show will be held Sept. 10 in the Imperial Theatre. The showcase mixes contemporary country stars with current Christian music celebrities, plus stars on the rise.

The 2006 Eat Coat Music Award nominee will be performing music from her award-winning debut album, Family.

The Canadian Country Music Week will take place in Saint John, Sept. 8-11, and will culminate in the CCMA Gala Awards Show at Harbour Station, which will be broadcast on CBC Television, Monday, Sept. 11, starting at 8 p.m. For more information, visit www.ccma.org/cmw06gospel.html
